DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Lead Automation Test Engineer for our Krakow office to make our team even stronger.

We are starting a new project for one of the largest high street online retailers in the UK with more than 700 stores and 300 million website visits a year. As a key member, a Lead Automation Test Engineer will collaborate with software developers, operations engineers, and project managers to understand the client’s requirements and develop the test approach for verification of sites and data. Your primary role will be to define, develop, and execute test suites in support of the customer’s solutions. You will also be designing and building automation for the test suites to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and coverage over time.

Responsibilities

  • Define test approach;
  • Design, develop, and implement manual and automated test suites;
  • Collaborate with QA and development colleagues to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage of testing processes;
  • Participate in test plan design and execution for release candidates;
  • Provide leadership and mentoring within the QA team to ensure high quality solutions.

Requirements

  • BS Computer Science or a related field;
  • 5+ years of QA experience including 1-2 years in a lead role;
  • Solid working background in Web site testing;
  • Experience in portlets;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Familiarity with open source QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems;
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience in working in mixed Windows environments;
  • Experience in at least one programming or scripting language (Java);
  • Scrum.

Nice to have

  • Experience with e-Commerce applications;
  • Experience in working with IBM WebSphere Commerce 7;
  • Understanding of data concepts and experience with large, complex data sets;
  • Selenium/Webdriver;
  • Linux, Apache;
  • SVN (Subversion).
