What You’ll Do

  • Design and lead research studies using human factors expertise and established usability principles for clinical and/or medical devices
  • Identify and implement the appropriate testing methods across a range of digital solutions, including usability, accessibility, iconography & information hierarchy
  • Advocate for usability across the product development life-cycle, and across multiple projects
  • Anticipate, identify, and help mitigate usability issues and safety hazards
  • Define and defend the usability and safety goals for new product development and integrate research findings into the development process and KPIs
  • Identify and reconcile discrepancies in the application of user-interface styles and patterns to ensure compliance with established design standards
  • Investigate and recommend new or emerging research methods, technologies or process improvements
  • Deliver compelling presentations of research findings and recommendations that influence product usability and safety throughout the development lifecycle
  • Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to drive implementation

What You Have

  • Degree in Human Factors Engineering, UX Design, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Ergonomics or equivalent
  • Experience within healthcare, experience with medical devices preferred
  • Clinical Research experience required
