DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Delivery Manager for our Amsterdam office to make the team even stronger.

Our Technical Delivery Managers oversee management of key EPAM client relationships, taking a technically ‘hands on’ approach to define and deliver solutions and driving a culture of continuous improvement. They are accountable for the solution, overall project delivery, client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is on strategy, on time and within budget. You will be working alongside globally renowned and award-winning design, development and technology teams who are passionate about what they do and how they do it. Projects range from 20-100 people with typical large-scale clients.

Responsibilities

  • Form and support any internal and external processes that will help increase software delivery efficiency and quality
  • Play a proactive role in proposing technologies, tools & approaches
  • Establish a strategy of continuous delivery risk management that enables proactive decisions and actions throughout the delivery life cycle
  • Coordinate the preparation of customer proposals and statements of work
  • Manage high-level client expectations and relationships, looking for opportunities to up/cross-sell products and services through relationship management
  • Deliver customer projects successfully
  • Ensure that projects are delivered in line with EPAM process and methodologies
  • Work closely with multi-disciplined teams of product owners, architects, engineers and quality assurance to drive estimates, delivery plans and retrospectives
  • Prepare estimations on time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement projects; develop project plan incorporating all project variables
  • Establish criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design and costs
  • For the top management and client - act as a single point of responsibility over any delivery related matters, including escalations, upsells, ramp downs etc
  • Build delivery timelines for multiple streams, analyzing internal/external dependencies

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years working experience in IT service delivery domain
  • Engineering background in Java, C++, .NET or another tech stack
  • Experience on E-commerce solutions is mandatory
  • Experience in handling complex delivery projects (50+ people) involving distributed delivery teams
  • Profound experience in onshore, nearshore and offshore outsourcing and delivery models
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture Patterns, able to read and validate software architecture documentation
  • Experience with the following software development processes: Agile, Scrum
  • Hands on executing project with Agile (Scrum, Kanban) adopting processed to customer needs
  • Expertise in Customer Relationship Management / Account Management
  • Ability to establish solid working relationships with clients, plus the ability to work effectively as a virtual member of a dynamic, dispersed team and to meet deadlines
  • Fluent verbal and written English
  • BS or master’s degree. Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
