Performance and Technical Debt Engineer

Currently we are looking for a Performance and Technical Debt Engineer for our Zurich office to make our team even stronger. Our Engineer will be responsible mainly for Software performance KPI analysis.

This team monitors applications across the whole IT domain and tracks performance and QA metrics. They score the applications based on the results. The intention is to enforce / support business to prioritize non-functional requirements higher by raising awareness (and publishing a "winners and loosers" report of this list).


  • Analyze performance and technical debt in various applications in a complex multi-platform environment. Quick understanding of the big picture and dependencies is required;
  • Analyze requirements and design implementations for performance and technical debt metrics. Consult in tooling for automated metrics measurement;
  • Consult applications on improvements and optimizations.


  • Technical background preferable in informatics. Technical understanding for information technology and information systems in a MNC environment is requested;
  • Communication and collaboration with other subject matter experts is a key skill;
  • Proficiency in 1-3 following areas is requested:
    • Static and runtime source code analysis;
    • Programming in Java or C++ or another language;
    • Designing or implementing of Web or mobile phone applications;
    • Designing and implementing of databases or Data Warehouses;
    • Scripting of SQL Queries;
    • Data Analytics (big data);
    • Quality assurance and testing.
  • Experience with following tools is a bonus:
    • AppDynamics;
    • SonarQube.
  • Degree in one of this area is preferable (ranking):
    • Computer science;
    • Mathematics or Physics;
    • Engineering.
  • Good English is mandatory, German is a plus but not a must.
