DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Senior Archive Back-end Engineer for our Zurich office to make the team even stronger.

Our client is a truly global, diverse and multicultural organization. You will be working with colleagues that are distributed around the globe on complex and challenging solutions and projects that are using top-notch technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and design and implement solutions as defined by the systems development life cycle (SDLC);
  • Test unit and integration of components for integration into larger subsystems;
  • Analyze and resolve defects and deploy fixes to production systems;
  • Liaise with Business Analysts to support the requirements engineering process as well as conduct; effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work towards global IT solutions;
  • Analyze errors in systems and define corrective measures.

Requirements

  • Experience with Archive storage solutions;
  • UNIX (Solaris, Linux) system engineering skills, including packaging and configuration management;
  • Perl and Shell scripting experience;
  • Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) product expertise;
  • Experience with data management and data migration;
  • Sound knowledge of IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate management, etc.);
  • Experience with OpenText (CS, LEA, LES and OAS) or IBM CMOD or Hitachi HCP is a plus;
  • Knowledge of Windows environment management (server as well as workstation) is a plus;
  • Analytical and logical, eager to learn new technologies;
  • Able to improve older code bases, as well as apply modern best practices to new projects;
  • Curious and collaborative, comfortable working independently, as well as in a team;
  • Go-to person for the latest development innovation;
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
  • Preferably fluent in German.
