EPAM is hiring a Business Development Manager focused on the Automotive sector, to be based in Germany.
She or he will be responsible for developing and managing business development and sales activities for automotive/connected-car related products and services, working closely with the automotive and tech industries. This is a very entrepreneurial role. This role will also involve close collaboration with technical teams based in Eastern Europe.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with or in the Automotive Sector and possess exceptional communication, EQ, analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels, including Executive Management, Engineering, Product, Finance, and Marketing leaders and colleagues. We are seeking a self-starter who is highly collaborative and has experience working in a BD role in an Engineering- or Product-led organization with understanding of automotive related technology and manufacturing.
She or he will understand the nuances associated with the latest platforms, architectures, and digital technologies along with how they align with EPAMs capabilities to deliver strategic solutions to our clients. A BDM will focus on driving cross platform sales from prospecting through bid closing; developing new relationships, and driving continued growth of EPAM’s solutions.
Successfully sell IT solutions and Services via a solution-selling or consultative-selling approach that delivers the Sales Revenue Targets;
Partner strategy, partner cultivation and prioritization, presenting to high-level execs and officials, negotiation and creation and driving deals to closure;
Develop a BD plan and strategy and lead cross-functional execution against defined business milestones and metrics;
Proactively map and assess key players within targeted segments of the automotive ecosystem, and execute a strategy to continually engage with leaders in these segments;
Extend into account management and implementation as needed, for very large strategic partnerships;
Be point of escalation, internally or externally to support partners with support management and any related issues;
Track, analyze, and communicate key metrics to stakeholders;
Build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities across clients in your portfolio;
Coordinate with leaders and SME’s across EPAM BUs to create compelling and goal-driven solution offerings for clients and prospects;
Record all client-facing activities in CRM, clearly and punctually;
Drive the creation of presentation materials and proposals that effectively present EPAM solutions and collaborate with the EPAM Global Sales team to sell through the offering;
Develop deep knowledge and expertise around EPAM’s solutions and go to market strategies;
Be able to swiftly adapt and pivot in an ever-evolving eco-system;
Oversee preparation of business' value propositions, sales plans, RFPs/RFQs/ RFIs;
Collaborate with key EPAM partners to effectively position EPAM services and drive an increased number of opportunities from the channel;
Successfully position EPAM and its services to C-level executives, building their confidence in EPAM solutions and our ability to deliver;
Stay abreast of current events across EPAM Business Units and utilize that knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop EPAM’s selling propositions and differentiators.
Experience working with or at an OEM or Tier 1 Supplier to the automotive industry; an ideal candidate will have worked as an Engineer, Engineering Manager, and/or Product Manager within these organizations at some point in your career;
Undergraduate and/or graduate degree from a top-tier university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Business, Economics;
Demonstrable track record of identifying and closing new business to sell end-to-end solutions;
Team-oriented mindset and the ability to work with a wide range of individuals;
Prior experience with and comfort operating in a very entrepreneurial environment where you had little direction, high ambiguity, and had to define goals and generate results;
Amazing client management, business communication and relationship building skills;
Strong intellectual curiosity, and an ability to synthesize large amounts of technical information and to quickly become externally credible in a new, complex subject area;
Strong project management and organizational skills and detail orientation;
Proven ability to close deals under high stress to successful completion;
