A Database Analyst will work with customers and data architect to translate business requirements into data requirements; identify data sources, profile data for data gaps / quality / fitness and map it to the targeted data model.

Responsibilities

  • Document data assumptions, known issues and transformations to convert the source data into the target data model;
  • Communicate requirements to ETL developers to enable them to build the data integration solution;
  • Communicate requirements to testers to build test plans and cases.

Requirements

  • Experience required:
    • Experience required;
    • Upstream oil & gas experience.
  • Required skills:
    • Knowledge of upstream data sources. In particular - Production Data (Energy Components);
    • Well hierarchy (above the well) Prod units, Areas, Leases, Facilities, etc;
    • Production data;
    • Reservoir rock & fluid properties;
    • Well components;
    • Stratigraphic units;
    • Pressure tests;
    • Directional surveys;
    • Targets and limits;
    • Comments (annotations);
    • Log curves and PLTs;
    • Wellbore equipment;
    • Wellwork jobs;
    • Water quality;
    • Business and data analysis;
    • Source-to-target mapping;
    • SQL.
