Financial Services – Insurance
for our Zurich office to make the team even stronger.

As part of our strategic growth, we are looking for management consultant practitioners in the financial services sector who are aspiring to join a vibrant, growing business and dynamic team culture, which still processes a pragmatic “start-up” mindset within an established global firm. In conjunction with the Swiss Head of FS Business Consulting, you would help support the build out and execution of a successful Business Consulting “pull-through” capability for EPAM in financial services, in particular - our Insurance sector. Be part of next generation innovation in financial services and a leading digital transformation partner. This leadership role is based in Zurich with occasional travel within Europe and abroad depending on client work and/or as required across the firm for supporting business development activities.

The role is of a comparable level to that of a Senior Manager/Director within a Big-4 Advisory firm.

Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Swiss Head of FS Business Consulting, help support the build out and execution of a successful Business Consulting capability for EPAM in financial services;
  • Be charged with leading the development of EPAM’s insurance business consulting sector and work in close cooperation with EPAM’s business development sales teams;
  • Lead initiatives and support with business development activities (i.e. supporting pre-sales client acquisition, RfP responses, thought leadership and consulting proposition development);
  • Deliver and execute EPAM engagements at the client across the project cycle either in a senior project manager and/or in SME role;
  • Contribute in identifying potential pull-through consulting related services to EPAM service design, digital practice, UI/CX, technology, and software engineering work;
  • Travel to client sites and other EPAM offices as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in an appropriate field from an accredited university;
  • At least 12+ years of consultancy experience in Financial Services insurance sector with a focus in at least one area of expertise within the life, non-life and/or wholesale businesses. Insurance functional experience should be supported by business transformational project roles;
  • Big-4 or an upper-tier consultancy/advisory boutique demonstrating an operational/transformational background and project credentials;
  • Expertise in operating models and technology enabled transformation engagements, business concepts, requirements and managing linkages with technology solutions. Additional InsurTech market awareness and the ability to work at innovative solutions is an asset;
  • Robust project management methodology skills applied within multi-disciplinary project environments;
  • Experience in multi-stakeholder change management and full project cycle activities;
  • Know-how and applied project experience along digital transformation and client experience initiatives is highly sought after as this is experiencing strong global growth;
  • Specific domain knowledge specializations across insurance domains (e.g. front-to-back processes, policy & claims management, risk & compliance, and corporate functions);
  • Experience in efficiency and sourcing programs is an additional benefit;
  • Excellent working experience in and knowledge of the Swiss FS sector as well as awareness of the wider global key financial services centers would be a definite asset (in particular, pan-European);
  • Possessing key client relationships and networks plus strong contributions with business development activities is important with this senior role;
  • Superior communication, presentation, organizational, planning and leadership skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in German is an additional benefit within the context of particular client segments. Our global corporate working language is English.
