Currently we are looking for a Middle MS SQL Engineer for our Prague office to make the team even stronger.
Our client is an investment bank, which provides large corporate, government and institutional clients with a full spectrum of solutions to their strategic advisory, financing and risk management needs.
The main function of the project is to consolidate, streamline and simplify the generation, analysis and visualization of risk within the investment bank onto strategic, cross-asset platforms. The migration from a legacy, siloed, asset class-specific environment to a shared, cross-asset, platform is a complex one and we are running that work as a program.
The candidate will join the project delivering regulatory driven improvements in credit risk methodology with significant impact on the bank’s RWA. As part of the program, the project is delivering new credit risk valuation and simulation capability as well as infrastructure components. The scope includes large spectrum of products across the asset classes (Fixed Income, FX and Equities) with varying degree of complexity presenting a highly interesting technology challenges. We do not use MS SQL Reporting services, MS SQL Analyses Server, and any other RDBMS systems, except MS SQL. Current version used in production is MS SQL Server 2008R2.
Take participation in developing SQL objects, like stored procedures, functions, views, etc;
Take participation in developing SSIS packages;
Write functional tests;
Provide last line support for production incident;
Provide assistance to business users, in their custom requests.
Be familiar with MS SQL database technology stack:
Theoretical knowledge in relational theory;
Performance optimization skills:
At least theoretical knowledge in Partitioning;
Average experience in SQL Programming:
Analytical (window) functions.
At least theoretical knowledge of SSDT;
At least theoretical knowledge of writing tests for SSDT solution, and common CI principles;
At least theoretical knowledge of Git\Bitbucket\Stash;
At least theoretical knowledge of TeamCity (or Jenkins) build server;
Intermediate SSIS knowledge:
Be able to create simple SSIS package;
Be familiar with how SSIS packages are organized;
Be familiar with common SSIS execution flow.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC phases;
Keen, enthusiastic and willing to learn;
Strong team player with ability to work independently and proactively;
Strive to own end-to-end solutions to problems;
Ability to build productive working relationships with other IT groups, business users and support teams in multiple geographic locations.
Nice to have
Knowledge of AutoSys (Enterprise scheduler system);
Knowledge of QlikView;
Knowledge of SAP BO.
