We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer with a strong expertize in Go language for a full-time opportunity to jump into a new project at the Media & Entertainment domain. Develop highly scalable Microservices in GO, which affect millions of users on media devices like Roku, Apple TV, iPhone, Android phones etc;
Play a key role in architectural and design decisions, building toward an efficient Microservices distributed architecture;
Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code;
Work with a close knit group of developers sharing ideas and implement cool Entertainment/Sports themed services.
Strong background in Go Programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms, with 6+ years’ relevant industry experience working on public facing websites and/or Microservices based projects;
Knowledge of common Goroutines and channel patterns;
Experience in some of Go frameworks and tools, including:
Router packages, such as Gorilla Mux;
Package management tools such as Glide;
Latency and fault tolerant tools like go-Hystrix;
Ability to write clean and effective GoDoc comments.
Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git;
Strong CS fundamentals and a good working knowledge of algorithms and data structures;
Expert-level design experience, including knowledge of common design patterns and relevant libraries;
Rigor on Unit testing, coverage and best practices;
Good working experience in customer facing (preferably, high traffic) web applications/Microservices.
Nice to have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science;
Experience working in a Microservices-based projects;
Experience in AWS tools (ECS, DynamoDB, etc.), Consul, Linkerd, StatsD, etc.
