DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a DevOps Engineer/Automation (MS stack, Azure) for our Gent office to make the team even stronger.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be building web applications that make our customers more productive. You’ll be part of a team, working in quick iterations to produce an exciting next-generation product using best-practices and responsive design. You will need to be strong technically as well as be able to work well in a team environment. Great teamwork, leadership and communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key point of contact within R&D for European / APAC Customers;
  • Be responsible for data migration of on premise customers;
  • Develop integrated utilities for deployment and procurement;
  • Design and implement monitoring and alerting metrics for client platform;
  • Participate in Scrum Team meetings, driving visibility through metrics and alerting;
  • Advise / coordinate release strategy with team members;
  • Work alongside Professional Services (PS) to deliver field-driven technical work;
  • Fully integrate into the larger DevOps team within client;
  • Provide input into preparing/planning existing clients OGC Journey (some client facing activities needed).

Requirements

  • Experience in "DevOpsing" with Microsoft stack (Power Shell scripting, Azure, VSTS, TFS, SQL Server);
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science (3-5 years of IT experience);
  • Experience in setting up the DevOps pipeline (3 years of experience);
  • Strong background in system administration;
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience in Azure is recommendable);
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always available service;
  • Desire to learn, grow and work with a team in an agile environment;
  • Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills;
  • Fluency in one or more scripting languages such as PowerShell;
  • Fluency in English.
