Currently we are looking for a Director (Retail Consulting) for our New York office to make the team even stronger.
As a Director in our new global Retail Consulting practice, you have strong strategic skills and retail domain expertise; you are in tune with Retail/CPG market and industry trends, understand the future of the retail environment, and the role that advanced technology plays in retail today. You are seen as the thought leader in the retail transformative landscape and can work alongside leading retailers to evangelize, develop and implement innovative solutions that address today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities.
Delivery Management of retail projects to customer satisfaction; managing teams across projects to ensure quality and ultimate profit;
Define project scope and delivery of services within the SLAs and KPIs;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and orchestrate business solutions involving multiple suppliers and integrations, towards successfully achieving business and project objective;
Support the account team in business development effort;
Align to organization’s systems, processes and methodologies, to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of service delivery;
Lead and support the building of a productive and cohesive team culture, apply best practices of competency development and provide coaching and career development support;
Assist in staffing requirements;
Work as a team member to provide business and domain expertise, deliver consulting related project deliverables and provide a resilient service to our customers.
10+ Years’ combined industry and consulting experience working in a range of retail sectors (grocery, fashion, department stores, health and beauty, general merchandise, electronics, entertainment and sports and leisure) and CPG industry. Up-to-date with retail and CPG industry trends, best practices and operating imperatives;
Strong experience in retail consulting ranging from strategic formulation to tactical execution with strong domain expertise and hands on experience delivering consulting projects and innovative retail solutions;
Experience in retail operations and business consulting with strong exposure to consulting practice building, project execution, business development, and client relationship management;
Bachelor's Degree required. MBA preferred;
Being interested in serving retailers covering a mix of:
Retail industry best practices and domain expertise;
Supporting the retail consulting leaders in driving and evangelizing transformative solutions to broaden EPAM's strategic footprint & move up the value chain;
Supporting the development and execution of retail consulting go-to-market strategy;
Managing business and technology risks and support business development and project delivery;
Proposing and executing agile solutions to deliver tangible benefits to client.
Being interested in optimizing retail processes that allow for retailers to effectively manage the buying, moving and selling of their products (digital and physical) and how businesses respond and navigate an ever-changing world of complexity, uncertainty, and paradoxes;
Understanding of the main components of a retailer’s business and IT architecture and have program managed large retail transformation projects;
Management consulting experience in major consulting firm preferred;
Working knowledge of consulting methodology and framework as well as Agile solution development/deployment approach;
Experience working with Business Process Modeling and Business Process Design;
Experience in managing and developing delivery teams, involving appraisals and career development;
Specialized retail domain expertise in, at least, three (3) of the following retail areas:
Merchandising and Assortment/Range Planning;
Store operations and retail POS;
E-Commerce / Digital Retailing/Unified commerce;
Supply Chain Planning and Forecasting;
Omni-Channel Order Fulfillment Logistics;
Pricing, Promotion and Loyalty management;
Customer Engagement Management;
Retail Financial and BI Analytics;
Possess good business acumen;
Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of communicating at all levels of management;
Keep abreast of current trends and developments within the retail industry;
