Currently we are looking for a Full Stack Developer for our Zürich office to make the team even stronger.
Work onsite at one of the global top web search providers and biggest IT companies in the world. You would be highly integrated into their team, sit and work with them on a daily basis;
The team builds a structured knowledge graph containing countries, people, books, etc.; this data powers features which are exposed to millions of users daily. The team consists of SW Engineers specialized in algorithms and graph theory;
They are looking for an experienced, independent, fast learning Software Engineer who will take on critical internal tooling tasks (not external support) so that the team can focus on their core work;
You would gain significant exposure to the knowledge graph and related processing systems, as you must understand them on a deep level in order to do your job;
Major task is to help the core team to extend and adapt their internal tools for debugging, visualization, and data evaluation by implementing new features, extending or changing existing functionality;
Potentially new tools could be developed depending on the need;
A full stack developer is needed as the tasks are very variable, from smaller UI implementations or changes, to more complex middle layer implementations till DB exposure with writing queries in SQL. This is what makes the job very interesting;
Might be asked to build dashboards to visualize data or metrics, including work to modify systems in order to produce required metrics (side task).
Good foundation in IT overall (Software Engineering), University Degree;
Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Engineering projects;
Solid C++ knowledge is a must (main skill);
Basic SQL, needs to be able to write queries with joins, etc;
Basic UI skills to create a GUI;
Knowledge of Python is a big plus;
Plex Programming Language experience is a plus;
HTML/CSS/JS is a plus.
