Currently we are looking for a Senior Director, Procurement for our Newtown, PA office to make the team even stronger.

The Senior Director of Procurement will be responsible for identifying and screening suppliers, developing strategic relationships, negotiating terms and conditions, and driving improved supplier service levels. This position reports directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the procurement function for North America and Western within all aspects of purchasing and procurement related services;
  • Engage with business leaders and other procurement team members to establish strategic global relationships with major vendors;
  • Negotiate favorable contractual terms and conditions with suppliers;
  • Deliver on cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives;
  • Develop and implement efficiencies, standardized tools, practices and procedures shortening the quotation, RFP and decision making and evaluation time;
  • Develop, implement and maintain procurement policies and review on a regular basis to ensure relevance and conformance with best practices and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies;
  • Reinforce through regular benchmarking, periodic RFP's, and supplier performance metrics;
  • Highly visible position with regular interactions with senior management.

Requirements

  • Both hands-on and strategic experience in procurement, assisting in setting procurement strategies, driving cost savings and improving terms and conditions;
  • Self-starter with excellent business/financial acumen, proficient working with cross-functional teams, including demonstrated motivation, influence, and the ability to drive change across all levels of the organization and geographical boundaries;
  • Excellent negotiation skills;
  • Excellent leadership skills including clearly demonstrated global perspective and understanding of factors impacting businesses and their suppliers;
  • Excellent supplier management skills including demonstrated ability to develop and manage business driven supplier executive relationships;
  • Proven track record of successfully managing risk;
  • Possess solid computer skills;
  • Proven ability to be hands in a high growth environment;
  • Ability to manage a multitude of projects simultaneously;
  • Strong attention to detail required as work prepared by this position is presented to executive management for use in decision-making.
