DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Senior Project Manager for our Washington D.C. office to make the team even stronger.

Our ideal candidate serves as an expert in all phases of an interactive project lifecycle, is our clients' primary point of contact for matters pertaining to active projects and is responsible for managing internal team workflow and task assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate expertise in all phases of an interactive project lifecycle;
  • Quickly gain an understanding of our clients, industries, business and project objectives;
  • Collaborate with and lead teams of user experience designers, visual designers, content strategists, HTML developers and programmers to problem solve and execute project challenges while delivering high quality on time and on budget;
  • Interface daily with clients as the primary point of contact;
  • Analyze and prioritize project activities and client needs, while establishing realistic deadlines;
  • Achieve consensus among diverse and dissenting viewpoints, while effectively translating ideas into prioritized and actionable steps;
  • Create, maintain and present project plans and other relevant project documentation;
  • Create project status reports, client friendly schedule, milestone and deliverable progress materials for our clients;
  • Manage internal team workflow and task assignments;
  • Have a “can-do” attitude that fosters a positive productive working environment, especially in stressful or pressured situations;
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and provide hands-on troubleshooting and best available solutions;
  • Balance a sense of urgency with calm and confident demeanor;
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them in advance;
  • Consistently manage client expectations, ensure delivery of the highest quality service, and solicit and act on client feedback;
  • Develop and communicate overall creative and technical solutions necessary to meet client’s engagement needs;
  • Develop overall project management strategy and work with discipline leads and project teams to execute on plans;
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of the project team and ensure work is progressing as planned. Work with project team and actively be involved in the work;
  • Manage schedules, budgets, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverables dates are clearly communicated, understood, executed upon, and met;
  • Ability to work across several projects with one or more junior project manager(s) or as the primary Senior Project Manager on a large-scale engagement;
  • Ability to continuously improve project management tools and techniques in order to organize, manage and optimize multiple project teams. Able to develop knowledge base and share within a community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is considered;
  • 6+ years’ experience as a Project Manager in an interactive agency or similar client services environment;
  • Experience with the development of large-scale websites and a strong understanding of associated web development technologies and third party applications and platforms is essential;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work with and manage external partners;
  • Ability to maintain high level of organization and attention to detail;
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests;
  • Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and challenging environment;
  • Demonstrate versatility, conviction, and a commitment to outstanding client service;
  • Ability to represent our company at all times with professionalism and integrity;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Prior experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects;
  • Proficiency in any Agile tools: JIRA, Confluence, Team Foundation Server (TFS);
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) models as well as expert knowledge of agile and waterfall development;
  • Proficiency with managing complex projects involving one or more content management systems (Such as Sitecore, Drupal, Adobe AEM, Adobe CQ5, FatWire, TeamSite, Tridion, Joomla!, etc.);
  • PMP and other project management certifications are a big plus.
