Currently we are looking for a Lead Drupal Developer for our McLean, VA office to make the team even stronger.
The Lead Drupal Developer is innately familiar with the underlying structure of the Drupal CMS and has a history of building complex implementations including a wide range of integrations with third party systems. This role has a breadth of responsibilities outside of technical development, including a stronger emphasis on scoping and LOE estimation, as well as producing technical documentation and maintaining active client communications. The Lead Drupal Developer should be capable of running a project and managing tasks for a small team of developers with minimal oversight and direction.
5+ years of experience building web applications in PHP/MySQL and at least 3 years of experience developing with Drupal CMS;
Experience managing deployments of Drupal projects with multiple developers across multiple environments;
Ability to communicate software and system design architectures with other engineers using tools like Visio and familiarity with UML;
Experience leading a small team of developers and managing task backlog;
Ability to accurately scope tasks and estimate level of effort;
Expertise with unit testing, automated deployment processes, and continuous integration;
Bachelor’s degree or related years of experience;
Expertise with Drupal core concepts, APIs, module and theme development;
Knowledge of user-contributed module landscape and ecosystem and corresponding ability to determine whether existing modules can fulfill solution requirements;
Understanding of HTTP request/response lifecycle;
Basic familiarity with LAMP stack (SSH, command line tools, web server);
Comprehension of SQL queries and basic database design concepts;
Proficiency in using Git and related workflows for source control management;
Excellent written and spoken communication skills;
Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities.
