EPAM is currently looking to add an Experience Designer for a permanent, full-time opportunity to join our San Francisco team. Our ideal candidate is well-versed in User Centered Design methods and Design Thinking processes and frameworks for solving business and consumer challenges. He or she should be passionate about creating products and services that will change the world!
In short, our candidate will be able to:
- Identify and articulate the Design challenge(s) (based on actual client business goals and market drivers); - Understand and map the end-user journey, motivations and pain points (based on his/her ability to investigate and articulate actual customer needs, through primary, behavioral, ethnographic research); - Conceptualize, visualize and communicate potential solutions (based on his/her ability to solve pain points for the business or end-users, in their journey of engagement with client Brands. He/she will need to be able to socialize a low and high fidelity vision of solutions to fellow Designers, Managers, EPAM engineers, and directly to the client (infographics, wireframes, storyboards, simple prototypes and high fidelity mock-ups); - Validate solutions with end-users (the ideal candidate will be able to validate solutions with actual end-users by facilitating usability tests and synthesizing the findings into actionable recommendations for products and service enhancements).
Contribute to the planning, design and participation in collaborative client workshops to understand business and customer challenges, client vision, and co-creation of solutions;
Synthesize workshop findings into themes, infographics, recommendations;
Plan and participate in customer research (ethnographic, qualitative contextual inquiry);
Visualize the ideal solution interaction design (wireframes), user flows, and high fidelity mock-ups and prototypes of solutions (Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, Axure, etc.);
Plan and participate in usability testing of solutions;
Present research findings and recommendations to internal and external teams;
Develop content strategy;
Communicate solutions and concepts to internal team as well as to clients.
Fearless about solving any business challenge across online and offline channels;
Absolute proficiency in contemporary Design tools (Sketch, Adobe tools, simple prototyping tools like InVision and Axure);
Strong ability to lead user research and testing activities and deliverables;
Excellent ability to explain complex design decisions to experts and laypeople;
Strong understanding of interaction design and usability best practices;
Strong ability to lead design activities within both agile and waterfall environments;
Ability to accurately estimate and delegate work so that it is delivered on time and on budget;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent presentation skills;
Ability to lead cross-functional teams;
High-level knowledge of visual design and front-end development;
