Currently we are looking for a Digital DevOps Team Leader for our Brussels office to support our onsite client work.
The Digital Center of Excellence is responsible for configuration, managing development, managing interfaces in and out of hybris and managing the regional template for hybris and any regional digital solutions. It is also responsible for application change management and system governance. Key partners include the local (countryspecific) IT Demand teams for digital, and the CoE will serve as SPOC to the digital business for other IT teams – including, but not limited to other functional CoEs, SAP Basis team, Infrastructure team and IT Security team.
The role of the DevOps Engineer is to ensure excellent platform operations and smooth deployments of new functionalities/releases, final goal being customer satisfaction. The main tasks include platform environments management, release deployments (with deployment automation), issues troubleshooting, monitoring (proactive and alerting mode), and management of a continuous integration environment.
Participate in releasing a re-usable, configurable, multi-format, multi-channel eCommerce platform that is being rolled out in multiple countries for the region that is being serviced;
Be responsible for release deployments on both production and test environments;
Establish architectural best practices in regards to CI/CD, monitoring and infrastructure management;
Provide configuration and set-up of new production and test environments;
Administrate and set-up a Continuous Integration environment;
Partner with the ISO department in order to roll-out tools in line with the corporate security guidelines;
Ensure that the needed monitoring is in place (together with the right processes) in order to guarantee the highest availability of our platforms;
Perform proactive health check on our platform to anticipate any issue and guarantee the best customer experience;
Provide regular reporting on monitoring activities;
Provide 4th-line application support when required in liaison with the 3rd line application support organization;
Within the Center of Excellence Digital, be the first point of contact on all intervention on any environment (production or test);
Troubleshoot issues on prod or test environments;
Work self-directed and independently;
Be an expert in digital applications;
Follow applicable standards, procedures, guidelines and methodologies in the implementation and/or maintenance of the Hybris platform;
Coordinate DevOps activities with a small near shore Ops support team, while remaining hands-on in the delivery of strategic tracks in the DevOps area.
Master’s Degree in Information Technology sciences, or any other discipline of technical orientation;
2-5 years of mandatory prior experience in a related role, in a complex environment (experience with international distributed teams is an asset);
Development experience but with strong interest in deployment and network operations, or sysadmin experience with passion for scripting and coding;
Experience with systems and IT operations;
Experience in the digital environment (retail experience is an asset);
Past experience in any of the following roles is an asset: systems engineer, system administrator, operations engineer, release engineer, DBA, network engineer;
Experience in leading an (IT operation) team will be considered an asset;
Coding and scripting (Linux shell, Python, Perl);
Continuous Integration and Test Automation tools (Bamboo, Chef);
Configuration management (Ansible, Puppet, Chef);
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration;
Monitoring (Nagios, Logstash Kibana);
Data management skills;
Virtualization and cloud computing (experience with AWS is an asset);
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service;
Excellent command of Microsoft solutions (Office, Project, Visio);
Project management ability and ability to coordinate tasks effectively;
Experience in troubleshooting of technical issues;
Experience working within a matrix-style structure with international teams (European delivery experience preferable) on-shore and near-shore;
Provide hands-on, expert level technical assistance to developers;
Be stress-resistant, flexible, reliable and have a true hands-on mentality;
