We are seeking a Tax Director who will be to lead the European operations from Tax compliance perspective, reporting to the Global Tax Director in the US HQ.
Maintain an up to date Tax policy framework for EPAM entities in Europe that also satisfies SOX requirements;
Ensure tax calculations prepared and returns filed in a timely manner to satisfy statutory reporting requirements;
Review complex contracts from Taxation point of view;
Monitor local tax regulations in all countries;
Transfer Pricing (and BEPS) Analysis and Documentation, prepare analysis and submit to external advisors pertinent information to keep the company compliant of all the transfer price requirements including documentation;
Provide insight into any strategy that can be completed to make the transfer pricing requirements more efficient, support Tax planning and tax research initiatives;
Be responsible for the accounting for Income Tax (ASC 740): provide quarterly and annual support as necessary including return to provision reconciliations, valuation allowance calculations and FIN 48 analysis in the Europe region;
Act as a main professional contact for Tax Authorities; manage Tax Audits with local finance teams and the Global SSC team;
Perform Statutory Audits/Annual Tax Return Compliance Reporting: primarily be responsible for local audit engagements; oversee the work flow between the accounting and external reporting teams and the statutory auditor; coordinate the final review of audit results.
BSc/MSc Degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Tax or equivalent;
Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal);
Minimum 10 years’ of working experience in the field of Taxation, of which 5+ years international tax experience either from Advisory (Big4) or In-house Tax experience in a multinational company, covering a European scope;
Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience;
Strong experience in:
EU/Non-EU VAT legislation and related application in European countries;
Dealing with Transfer Pricing matters;
Experience working in a shared services environment;
Excellent project management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills;
Must be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task, enjoy working in a cross-functional team and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment;
Hands-on mentality” - take ownership of tasks and have the ability to adopt to changes;
Able to work cooperatively with other members of the tax department and to build professional relationships within the company assisting others to accomplish related job results as and where needed;
Familiar with internet-based tax research techniques;
Strong goal-orientation with a sense of urgency and attention to detail;
Excellent time management skills to complete all responsibilities within established deadlines;
Strong technical skills (proficient in Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook).
