Technical Business Analyst with a focus on BA elements

Currently we are looking for a Technical Business Analyst with a focus on BA elements for our Zürich office to make the team even stronger.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be responsible for development and maintenance of a web application hosting independent portlet-like e-banking components focusing on integration of these components into the web application framework. You will be part of the Swiss core team including technical leads and developers.

You will be working close to the banking business environment, contacting directly the business partners, leading communication sessions with them. In a Technical Business Analyst position, you will do clarifications and analysis of business requirements and translate them to tasks. You should be capable of working alone, documenting the findings in an easy-to-understand way.

In addition to business analysis, you should be capable of managing and handling application integration tasks requiring basic knowledge of application development.

The team handle the whole SDLC from creating and analyzing business requirements to deploying and testing the product as well as cover L3 support.

You will be part of the Zürich onshore development team including business analysts, test engineers and senior developers.

  • Gather requirements;
  • Prepare business and technical requirements;
  • Prepare additional project documentation;
  • Drive elicitation process;
  • Application Integration (translating business needs directly into configuration changes);
  • Triage, analyze defects found during product lifecycle;
  • Document accomplished work in English.


  • Familiar with generic software development lifecycle – not only agile but classical ones;
  • Strong communication skills – verbal as well as written, familiar with business etiquette;
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and facilitate understanding among teams of different working cultures;
  • Strong analytical and good organizational skills;
  • Able to provide support to PM activities;
  • High attention to details;
  • Modelling, diagramming;
  • Able to represent and communicate overall product strategy to BAs of other projects;
  • Quick learner: understanding of problems, ideas quickly;
  • Focusing on customer needs, assisting requestor to specify their real business need and translating it to technical modification request(s);
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on the customer’s goals and vision;
  • Experience with the web application development (as a BA);
  • Development (Java) basics or willingness to take integration tasks (currently mainly Excel tasks);
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) is required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with big organizations is an advantage;
  • Familiarity with an agile approach;
  • Basic technical skills for analyzing:
    • http traffic (request/response);
    • webpage source;
    • web application structure;
    • XML.
  • German is an advantage;
  • Efficient problem solving skills.
