Currently we are looking for a Delivery Manager for our Toronto office to make the team even stronger.

EPAM is currently looking to add a Delivery Manager for a permanent, full time opportunity to join our Toronto team of professionals. The ideal candidate will lead a portfolio of projects for large enterprise class accounts and contribute to making the team even stronger.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for project governance, handling delivery end-to-end, communication with the customer and handling all the project related delivery matters;
  • Take a proactive part in suggesting technologies, tools and approaches;
  • Be responsible for setting up the project from the ground up, as well as advocating for the best engineering practices and tools for effective use;
  • Contribute to the presales activities including estimations, architecture reviews, and documentation;
  • Contribute best practices and processes as well as delivery management knowledge base to the company;
  • Be responsible for staffing/resourcing for successful project delivery, proactively supervising technical delivery teams both onshore and offshore;
  • Drive engagements of the average size of 20-50+ FTEs in total;
  • Governing the delivery across stakeholders, handling complicated engineering issues, making sure the design, code and overall solution is of top-notch quality. Be completely responsible for the overall customer experience in terms of delivery;
  • Be responsible for developing and executing the succession plan of the projects on their account;
  • Take a proactive role in contributing to the best delivery management practices and processes within the company;
  • Participate in mentoring and talent development programs for delivery leads and managers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software delivery;
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Delivery/Team Leader, Solution/Enterprise Architect, or Delivery/Project/Program Manager;
  • Experience delivering mobile applications using native and Phone Gap/Cordova technologies;
  • Solid experience in managing delivery engagements end-to-end on teams averaging 20-50 in total;
  • Experience in governing project delivery across the board of all stakeholders and proven track record in handling complicated engineering issues, assuring quality and timely delivery;
  • Strong, proven experience in software engineering with ability to design and deliver sustainable solutions;
  • Experience in the design and implementation of continuous integration, delivery and deployment setups;
  • Strong communication skills, and proven ability to handle conflicts and taking on responsibility;
  • Experience and up-to-date knowledge of design and implementation of end-to-end solutions (including OOP, SOA, mobile, and responsive applications);
  • Experience with outcome based setups, delivering on hard commitments and fixed timelines;
  • Agile/Scrum experience is a must services experience is preferred;
  • XP experience is a must, or an alternative vision on delivering a high quality code;
  • Professional services experience is preferred.
