ABOUT THE CUSTOMER

Be responsible for 24x7 Ops team setup, process setup, KT sessions setup;
Run the 24x7 Ops team as a Team Leader;
Manage proprietary applications and production environments;
Take ownership of day-to-day customer, application and system problems as detected by monitoring and/or as escalated by Customer Service and Technical Support (L1 and L2 support);
Work closely with system architecture leads to measure and improve reliability and performance of customer-facing application environments;
Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of proprietary application and environment problems;
Work with system architecture leads, Software Development, Content Development/Production, Quality Assurance, Release Management and others to resolve problems;
Work with Dell Data Center Outsourcing Team to streamline Incident Management and Problem Management of hardware and infrastructure;
Work to improve operations of our mixed Unix, Windows and Cloud environments;
Administration and troubleshooting of SharePoint, IIS and other Microsoft Windows platform technologies;
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience;
3+ years’ experience in IT Service Operations and Support, preferably Enterprise Applications Ops + Support area;
Be confident in Service Transition (ITIL) in terms of consultancy and practical experience – i.e. how to build service. Conduct discovery workshops, drive KT and Q&A sessions;
Experience working as a system administrator in a mixed Windows/Unix/Cloud enterprise environment with focus on Windows + IIS platforms;
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Unix system administration;
Experience with administering and deploying Apache, Tomcat, Perl, WebLogic and Unix shell as well as windows PowerShell scripting;
Experience in implementing high-uptime MS Windows and Unix environments;
Solid scripting and programming skills: automation and monitoring within MS Windows/mixed environments;
Demonstrated ability to support enterprise-class systems and applications with strict uptime requirements;
